Meet James Webb
Since joining NMS in 2015, James Webb has been an integral part of our team. His dedication and professionalism have been evident throughout his tenure, particularly in his role as a security guard at ConocoPhillips – Alaska’s Alpine Camp since 2021.
This February, James demonstrated exceptional courage and quick thinking when he noticed an employee in distress, choking. Without hesitation, he sprang into action, administering abdominal thrusts that successfully dislodged the obstruction and saved the employee’s life. Following the incident, James ensured the employee’s safety by escorting him to the clinic for further evaluation.
Recognizing Heroic Actions
We are incredibly proud to announce that James Webb has received the Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action from the American Red Cross. This prestigious lifesaving award is presented to individuals who have performed remarkable acts of bravery, whether trained by the Red Cross or other organizations.
James received this honor for his quick and decisive actions during the choking incident. His bravery not only saved a life but also exemplified the high standards and values we uphold at NMS.
