Teri Nienhaus

Vice President of Human Resources

Teri Nienhaus joined the NMS Senior Management Team as Vice President of Human Resources in September 2011. As Vice President of Human Resources, Nienhaus provides strategic direction and oversight for NMS’ human resources department.  Nienhaus brings over 25 years’ experience in human resource management, labor relations, recruitment and employee benefits administration.

Nienhaus has held positions with Arctic Catering Inc., NEA-Alaska Health Trust, Chugach Electric Association, and Morrison-Knudsen Corporation. Teri served on the Alaska State Rehabilitation Council from 2004-2008, where she traveled throughout rural Alaska educating state legislators in accessibilities issues, fetal alcohol spectrum and other issues unique to rural Alaska. She also served as Director of Commonwealth North’s Alaska Health Care Roundtable and 2003 Board Chair of Veteran’s Industries.

Nienhaus earned her professional certification in human resource management from Alaska Pacific University in 2005. She is certified in Public Plan Policy—Employee Health by the IFEBP.
