Jeanette Duenow

Vice President of Operations, Lodging Division

Jeannette has served as Vice President of Operations, Lodging Division since January 2007. As Vice President of Operations, Duenow provides strategic direction and oversight for all lodging operations, including hotels in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Kotzebue, Barrow and Denali.

Duenow has over 17 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, starting her career as a Marriott front desk clerk in Phoenix. Currently responsible for rooms inventory of more than 1200 rooms, Duenow directs more than 400 employees, and oversight of all departments including asset management, sales & marketing, food & beverage, housekeeping and front desk. Through her direction, the division has grown from the single management of the first Alaska Marriott franchise, the Courtyard Anchorage Airport, to its current 5 Marriott franchised properties and 4 non-branded properties throughout Alaska.

Duenow began her NMS career as the first General Manager Courtyard by Marriott, Anchorage Airport in 1997. She also spent some time in Kotzebue managing the Nullagvik Hotel. In 1998 NMS acquired additional hotel management contracts, and Jeannette was promoted to Director of Operations, Lodging Division.

Duenow holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University in Phoenix, as well as an MBA from Alaska Pacific University.
